The Swan Inn

Pillory Hill, Noss Mayo, Plymouth PL8 1EE, UK – 01752 873115

The Swan has recently been taken over and at long last it has had a makeover. The new owners are very friendly and the real ale is perfection. I had tribute, doombar and sea fury which were all amazing. I ate blackened cod which was so fresh it almost swam off the plate!! The whole place is so welcoming and the toilets were immaculate. A really good start. I wish them all the very best.

Under new and improved ownership I believe. Decorated nicely and incredibly clean - cleanest WC I’ve visited in a long time! Reduced menu when visiting due to regatta - good honest pub grub. If you want fancy food, go to The Ship opposite.

The Ship Inn

Noss Mayo, nr Plymouth, PL8 1EW, Plymouth PL8 1EW, UK – 01752 872387

Very nice pub on the water that also serves pretty decent food. The parking at the pub and in nos mayo is pretty poor though. Better to arrive by boat when the tides right if you can. It's a good meeting place for a drink before a walk round to cellar beach (25 min walk) and has a very nice outdoor seating area for chilling out on the water.

Wonderful meal on Saturday night. I had a ribeye steak and my wife had a skate wing. Very efficient service and food cooked to perfection. Very busy but this did not effect the service. The staff work so hard to keep you happy. Well done.

The Volunteer Inn

15 Fore St, Yealmpton, Plymouth PL8 2JN, UK – 01752 880463

Popped in for a drink whilst out walking. Very friendly. Lots of dogs in bar area. A rustic garden at back of pub. Not wheelchair friendly. Food menue looked very good. Will definitely be back.

Nice friendly pub in the middle of the village. Ideal place to stop off for a thirst quenching pint.

Just Williams Restaurant

1 Manor Cottages, Brixton, Plymouth PL8 2AA, UK – 01752 880226

Nice, quaint, small restaurant with excellent staff and very good food and wine at very reasonable prices. Access to toilets is up extremely steep and curving stairs - not for those who find movement challenging. Enjoyed ourselves and will go there again.

The food was high quality and offered good value on the set £18.95 meal. The atmosphere was quaint but pleasant. The service from the waitress was friendly. Overall I would happily return.

Too much sauce not enough meat / prawns. Not particularly good value .

Never ever had a bad dish from here, we have our food delivered and it always arrives hot .. highly recommended .. crispy chili beef is legendary too
